Romolo's

Speaking of good coffee, I realized last night--to my horror--that my home was bereft of chocolate. Coffee and chocolate is my favorite dessert, so I had to take action.

I decided to take a drive to Romolo Chocolate on West 8th Street (across from Frontier Park). Romolo's has the best chocolate in the city, as far as I'm concerned (and, yes, I've had Stefanelli's and Pulakos).

Plus, Romolo's also has an excellent coffee bar. This place is heaven.

So, there I was last night, sitting in the coffee shop, watching the rain, sipping Romolo's World Bean coffee while eating a chunk of their dark chocolate. Wow.

If you're looking for something to do on a rainy evening--or any other evening--Romolo's is the place to go.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the tip. I'm still partial to Pulakos for straight chocolate, but Romolos is good - and the coffee bar sounds fun as well.

Good idea Doc. Is the place kid friendly?

Well, Stan, it's not kid-friendly like Chucky Cheese, but I'd say it's more kid-friendly than Starbuck's...and the kids will definitely enjoy all the different shapes, sizes, and colors of chocolate (everything from chocolate-covered potato chips to milk chocolate tennis racquets).

Plus, there's a little gift shop with some cool items to look at.

As for the coffee bar, there are plenty of seats and even a big, red couch to sit on.

I'd say it's a fine place to take the kids.
